Mass Action 2026
All information on the action
We’re getting close to the Ende Gelände mass action, taking place during May 28-30th. Together we will stand in the way of the government’s plans to massively expand gas infrastructure, a deepening of fossil exploitation and increasing war logic in Germany. You can find all infos in the call for action.
Our base during these days will be the Hammer climate camp in Lippepark, Hamm (we are working on a translation of the camp website, sorry for the inconvenience!). During May 27-31 we can all get prepared with action and legal trainings as well as join some of the exciting and broad-ranged workshop-program. The planned program is listed on the camp page.
To get the most important infos and facts for going into action, best try and be at the camp latest on thursday 2PM for the action plenary. If this is not possible for you, there should be at least one person of your „Bezugi“ group at this time. In general though, we recommend you ideally arrive on Wednesday evening to settle in!
There will also be actions on Saturday, so don’t be sad if you can’t make it before Friday. There will still be lots of things going on and we are always happy to have you with us! It can make a huge difference to support the ones out of action, the camp and the movement in general.
Who shut shit down? We shut shit down!
What to bring
As Ende Gelände we care about all of you feeling well prepared, so here’s a little list to help you fill up your minds, your backpacks and what best to leave at home:
To have everything you might need during the action, it is important to bring a couple of things yourself.
What to pack for the action:
White Overall and Mask (the ones typical for EG actions) if available, otherwise we will try and provide some at the Camp as well
Food (something proper + snacks to get you through one day) – it’s not always possible to get those through to a blockade
Enough water (e.g. 2 liter), also for cleaning out eyes
Medication that you regularly need for the time of the action and possible additional time held by police
head- or pocketlamps
Banner
Decoration (ecological) for action sites
Books, card games and everything that brings you joy during longer blockades
Robust musical instruments
Print these song texts and shouts and bring them along, so we can be loud and decisive together
Your personal EA number
ID, in case you want to provide your identity towards police
A bit of cash, in case you are taken by police and left somewhere in the outskirts. We try and provide transport options, but you never know.
Please be careful to not overload yourself, your backpack should still be relatively light to be able to run smaller passages and in general not feel exhausted too soon. It can help to organize and divide your stuff in between your „Bezugi“ group.
What to leave at home (or at the camp):
Everything providing information about you that you don’t need in action (e.g. calender, private phone, pass for lenses, …)
Everything that could be interpreted as weapon (e.g. your favourite Opinel knife, security shoes,,…)
Camera (There will be enough pictures taken by instructed photographers)
Consider if you want to wear any accessories, that could proove uncomfortable or dangerous during direct contact with police (e.g. if a blockade is being cleared)
In case tear gas or pepper spray is used, it is best to stay away from lotions and make up with fat, also avoid wearing contact lenses
Needless to say, but still: The action is not the place nor the time for alcohol and drugs!
For the Camp:
At the Hammer climate camp we will get together and prepare for the action. Additionally there will be really cool and interesting workshops, on Saturday we will have a Party!
