Descriptions
Action Training
Action Training How does civil disobedience actually work? What do I need, and what do I need to know beforehand? Attention! Please be on time and set aside time for the entire duration of the training! Arriving late or leaving early is not advisable! No prior experience necessary. This facilitated training is designed to facilitate the exchange of experiences, enhance individual and collective capacity for action through exercises, alleviate fears, and introduce new concepts. Key topics of the training include: Reflections on civil disobedience; Motivations and goals; fears and concerns; affinity groups as the basis for actions; decision-making within affinity groups and between affinity groups; situations of discrimination in action; practical action
Legal Consultation
When there is stress with the police during demonstrations and protests, it is important to know your own rights and limits. What can I take with me to actions (and what not)? What are the advantages and disadvantages of refusing to provide personal information? What can I expect if I am taken into custody? We will be happy to advise you on legal issues and share our experiences from past actions with you.
Legal Training
To go into action well prepared, it’s important to know ones rights and boundaries. In this workshop we will explain what the relevant laws are, how you can stay anonymous and what happens if you get arrested and many other legal topics. The aim of the workshop is that you are well informed and can decide yourselves how to behave in case of confrontation with the police.
It is important that people intensively look into legal issues before the action!
You can find broader legal information in the Legal Aid Manuals.
Dance in protest
How can resistance become visible in motion? In this workshop, we will jointly develop a short sequence of movements on the topics of antimilitarism and Gas phase-out. With dance methods and creative impulses, we combine political messages with expression, rhythm and presence. The resulting sequence can then be used at the demo or at other protests. Previous knowledge is not required – everyone who wants to move, exchange ideas and creative protest is welcome. If you have banner slogans, shouts, pictures, reports or texts from your previous dispute and activist work, feel free to bring them with you.
Finding an Affinity Group – Together at Camp and in Action
Together, we are strong. Whether at the camp, for an event, or beyond—let’s come together in affinity groups to spend time with one another. No one should have to be alone. Groups looking to welcome new members are also in exactly the right place here.
Skillshare and affinity group finding for vigils and GeSa supporty
Would you like to be a point of contact for activists at the vigils during the action, or support people who have been in custody after their release? Here you’ll get some initial information, and afterwards we’ll look together at how best to schedule you and connect you with one another.
After Action Space
During protests, situations regularly arise in which many people quickly feel overwhelmed, stressed, or unsettled. It’s completely natural for images, feelings, and memories to linger with us even after the protest is over. So it’s absolutely okay to seek support afterward. You don’t have to go through this alone.
If you feel the need to talk after the action, the After Action Space is the perfect place for you. Here, you can relax, have some candy, and, if you’d like, talk about any experiences. We’re here to listen and do our best to offer guidance and support as you process your emotions.
Out of Action
Counselling and support for people at the camp / anti-repression. “Out of Action” is a group of activists who provide information on the psychological consequences of repression and violence in the context of left-wing political resistance. They offer emotional first aid to affected individuals and groups and promote solidarity through conversations, information sessions and workshops.
