Invitation to press on 08.08.2022
Dear Ladies and Gentlemen,
On the occasion of the System Change Camp and the action week against fossil gas and neocolonial exploitation, we cordially invite you to a press conference followed by a press briefing on the Ende Gelände actions and public action training. From August 09 to 15 thousands of activists will protest with diverse actions and a big System Change Camp for the immediate gas phase-out and against the construction of new LNG terminals. They will also draw attention to the colonial continuities of the climate crisis and the destructive practices of the gas industry in the Global South and for indigenous communities.
On Thursday, Aug. 11 at 9:30 a.m., the press conference will take place at the System Change Camp in Hamburg-Altona. There we will inform about the camp, the protests and their actors. After the press conference, the speakers will be available for questions and interviews.
After the press conference there will be a press briefing and a public action training for the planned Ende Gelände actions. In the press briefing you will receive first information about the location and the course of the actions. In addition, we offer a public action training where you can take pictures and videos of activists.
