Meeting in Berlin

The next Ende Gelände Meeting will take place from the 18th to the 20th of May 2018 – this time in Berlin! We’re making progress in coordination and organization for this year’s actions – and we’re very much looking forward to seeing each other again or to welcome new people who haven’t been part of Ende Gelände before and to get to know them 🙂

Dear all,

we are cordially inviting you to the next Ende Gelände meeting in Berlin!

It will take place from Friday, 18th of May in the evening until Sunday, 20th 17p.m. For Friday evening, we are planning a nice evening programme/get together (there will be dinner starting from around 18h); the actual meeting will only start on Saturday morning, though.

There will be a party on Sunday evening; on Monday, 21th of May (which is a state holiday in Germany) there will be time for the working groups/AGs meeting.

We are working on arranging child care for Saturday and Sunday and would be happy to see many kids around – if there are more kids, it’s nicer for all of them.

The meeting will take place at the Hochschule für Technik und Wirtschaft Berlin (a university), Campus Wilhelminenhof, building G. We have some beautiful rooms there, overlooking the river Spree. Here is a discription of Anfahrt_How_to_go_to_HTW.

Greeting from Berlin,

Thousands of people will block coal infrastructure with their bodies on the weekend of 29 November to 1 December 2019. Ende Gelände thus protests against the total failure of the Federal Government in climate policy. The alliance demands an immediate exit from coal and a fundamental system change. Who shut shit down? We shut shit down!

12. July 2019 The action weekend of Ende Gelände (EG) from June 19th until 24th, 2019 was a weekend of superlatives. For 45 hours, the coal supply to the Neurath power station was blocked. 2,000 activists occupied the open pit mine of Garzweiler. 5,000 to 6,000 people brought the struggle for climate justice to the places of destruction – the Rhenish coal mining district – in a massive act of civil disobedience.
